This type of policy provides excess liability that extends coverage to an auto, home, recreational vehicle, or other owned property. The Umbrella policy applies the coverage to the Bodily Injury portion of an auto or recreational vehicle policy or the Personal Liability portion of a home policy. An Umbrella policy typically comes in increments of $1,000,000. For the amount of coverage that you receive, this is the least expensive liability coverage that can be purchased.
